The Generic Installer allows installation as an unprivileged user, and into a user-specified path. ActivePerl’s installer uses Windows Installer technology, which allows you to partially control the install from the command line. ActivePerl is the industry-standard, enterprise-level Perl distribution. Effective today, ActiveState has replaced our Windows MSI installer for ActivePerl with a more modern version.
